Both Senior Officers Moments Before the Attacker Got Stunned

One senior officer that leaped to the assistance of a fellow officer who was ambushed by a knife attacker received the Monarch's Honor for Courage.

PC Wolstencroft deployed his electric weapon and sought a clear shot, concluding the confrontation to an end.

Sergeant Ansell can be heard to say: "I need something on my neck here, I'm bleeding in the neck."

Sgt Ansell sustained two open wounds to his throat and more cuts to his arms and torso, whereas Sergeant Foster received knife wounds.

Officials said Sergeant Foster used his bare hands to stop his colleague's blood loss prior to medical personnel arrived.

This most recent honor follows subsequent to the law enforcement team were granted internal Valor Recognitions in late 2023 and the prestigious bravery honor from the local union branch in spring 2024.

They additionally received a North West Bravery Award in mid-2024.

Brown was sentenced to an psychiatric detention in April 2024, as stated by officials.
